Submitting your website to search engine directories, creating URL backlinks with keyword enriched ALT text that are hyperlinked on 3rd party websites, and enriching your own website with strong search engine enriched tags make your website a great candidate to be revealed on search engines.

But don't kid yourself.  Having the ingredients and potential to be a popular website is not enough to compete with the big boys.  Paying for targeted Google Ads is expensive and unless you can immediately convert the ad traffic back into cash, and/or convince the incoming traffic to return to your website in the future, the entire business plan with Google Ads is a failure. Search Engine Optimization, Text & Banner Advertisement Campaigns, and other types of Online Marketing are great ingredients to success, but the only way you will succeed online is if your able to penetrate into online established communities.  Promotional campaigning success on sites like MySpace, Facebook, Hi5, and other socail sites determine whether the online community has accepted your cyberspace existance. 

Remember, the world wide web is a cyberspace neighborhood where some residents are accepted and others are rejected.  The social communities represent the individuals and groups of people who determine your online success. Unlike Google's Page Rating system which is automated, the members of social sites are actually real people.
